Am Freitag, den 22. Juli um 20 Uhr treffen wir uns in der Neubaugasse 12, 1070 Wien, im Amida Zentrum, um gemeinsam eine Auswahl an Kurzfilmen (sowohl Dokumentar- als auch Spielfilme) anzuschauen, die zeigen, wie sich die Besatzung und das Apartheidregime im Alltag der PalästinenserInnen manifestieren.
Wir werden die Filme gemeinsam ansehen und anschließend darüber diskutieren:
- Checkpoint 300, 5' - von Ahmad Al-Bazz, Haidi Motola und Anne Paq, über den militärischen Kontrollpunkt, an dem Tausende von palästinensischen Arbeitern täglich ab 3 Uhr morgens Schlange stehen müssen.
- Bloody basil, 15' - von Elia Ghorbiah, über die neue Sklaverei palästinensischer Arbeiterinnen, die zur Arbeit in israelischen Siedlungen gezwungen werden.
- Tour de Gaza, 19' - von Flavia Cappellini, ein Porträt von Alaa al-Dali, dem Radrennfahrer, der während des "great march of return" 2018 von einem israelischen Scharfschützen ins Bein geschossen wurde.
- Roof Knocking, 12' - von Sina Salimi, Kurzspielfilm über die gleichnamige Taktik der IOF, die Bewohner auf ihren Handys anzurufen und sie zum Verlassen aufzufordern, bevor sie ein ziviles Gebiet bombardieren.
- High Hopes, 14' - von Guy Davidi, der zeigt, wie die Friedensversprechen des Osloer Abkommens nur zu mehr Deportation geführt haben.
Movie night - Shapes of the Occupation: on Friday, July 22 at 8 pm join us in Neubaugasse 12 at the Amida Zentrum to watch together a selection of short films, both documentaries and fiction, to watch some of the different ways in which the Occupation and Apartheid regime manifests itself in the everyday lives of Palestinians.
We will watch and discuss together:
- Checkpoint 300, 5’ - by Ahmad Al-Bazz, Haidi Motola and Anne Paq, on the military checkpoint where thousands of Palestinian workers are forced to queue daily from 3am.
- Bloody basil, 15’ - by Elia Ghorbiah, on the new slavery of Palestinian women workers, forced to work in Israeli settlements.
- Tour de Gaza, 19’ - by Flavia Cappellini, a portrait of Alaa al-Dali, cycling champion shot in the leg by an Israeli sniper during the 2018 Great March of Return.
- Roof Knocking, 12’ - by Sina Salimi, short fiction on the homonymous tactic used by the IOF, calling the residents on their cellphones and ordering them to leave, right before bombing a civil area.
- High Hopes, 14’ - by Guy Davidi, showing how promises of peace of the Oslo Accords have only led to more deportation.
